You may be one of our followers on Facebook, or you read about us in the media, or perhaps you volunteer at the shelter and see the animals we care for on a daily basis - animals that are injured, homeless or unwanted.

Maybe you have adopted an animal from us in the past and have stayed connected to us to show your appreciation for the work we do, and for bringing that special pet into your life.

To all of our supporters and champion’s – we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Without your attention and support we wouldn’t be able to help all the animals that come into the MHSPCA’s care!

We have an immediate, urgent and ongoing need for your support. Because we rely heavily on individual donations, we struggle as an organization to have sustainable sources of money coming in. Our Monthly Giving Program is a wonderful way for you to make a long-term impact to the MHSPCA – and monthly payments are so much more affordable for the average person.

Where will your money go?
  • By giving only $10 per month, you will be providing vaccines for 12 animals to ensure they grow up healthy.

  • By donating $20 per month, you will be providing emergency vet care for a sick animal and ensuring they receive prompt, potentially life-saving, treatment.

We are hiring! We are looking for a full-time Kennel Assistant, able to work 8am-5pm on a rotating schedule including weekends. This is a very rewarding position for someone who loves animals, is very organized, and likes things to be neat, tidy & clean! Please forward your cover letter and resume to Audrey Becker, Facility Manager: contact@medhatspca.ca. No phone calls please.

We are very excited to announce that we now offer the Walks n' Wags Pet First Aid Certification course! This informative 10 hour Pet First Aid Course is a must for everyone who volunteers, works with, or owns dogs and/or cats. Participants earn a certificate through hands on practice with real animals, and 100% of the course fees goes back to the MHSPCA to help even more animals.
